What is halal food?
Halal food is food that has been prepared according to Islamic law. This means that the meat must be obtained from an animal that was slaughtered in a certain way.

What are the best halal restaurants in Rome?
At the time of writing (August 2023), all of the restaurants mentioned below (to the best of my knowledge) serve only halaal meat and do not serve alcohol. Please check with the restaurant at the time of ordering if this is still applicable.
I found the largest concentration of halal food in Rome to be opposite the Roma Termini station. Just across the station, lies many top halal restaurants. Here you will find about 7 different restaurants that offer halal food.
There is a selection of Indian and Italian food as well as Turkish cuisine and other amazing food available. Some of the places have seating and some are over the counter. Be sure to double-check the halal status before ordering.
Insider tip: Beware of pickpockets in this area, especially at night.
The best halal restaurants in Rome are:
1. King Food Company Tavola Calda
This halal eatery serves a variety of tasty food from Indian cuisine, to healthy food and of course halal pizza as well. The pizza was a winner on our table.
It has a small but comfortable seating place.
Most of the restaurants here look the same and don’t have a distinguishing name, but this is one of the larger restaurants and has Indian Restaurant, Tavola Calda, and Fast Food written on the windows in red and blue so you should be able to find it easily.
The restaurant was halal certified.
2. Termini Food Point
This was another large restaurant serving delicious halal cuisine. The restaurant serves grilled meats, Kebab, Pizza, and classic Italian dishes. The restaurant is slightly bigger and has more seating places.
A lot of the dishes were readily prepared and you could opt for a quick counter service or a sit-down meal.
3. Kebab and Tandoor
This is a small halal Indian Restaurant serving which is located on the small side street opposite Roma Termini Station. The menu has popular Indian food items such as tandoori chicken and mutton biryani. There are also vegetarian options.
The restaurant is small and seating is limited.

This restaurant serves ready prepared pizza in various flavors. It is good for a grab and go meal. There is a very small seating area if you prefer a quick meal.
It is located on the small side street opposite the Terminini.
The pizza here has a bit of a thicker base and is more like a focaccia.
5. Chicken Hut
This halal restaurant is located on the street just before you enter Pizza Navona.
